Mr Sean Carrie has been a Consultant Rhinologist and Pituitary Surgeon for more than 15 years at the Freeman Hospital and University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. His main interest is endonasal surgery and he is a member of both the anterior skull base and pituitary multidisciplinary services. He organises and chairs both the Newcastle Sinus Surgery course and the Newcastle Pituitary course.

He is currently President of the British Rhinological Society. He has served as Honorary Secretary of the Section of Laryngology and Rhinology of the Royal Society of Medicine as well as a Council member for a number of years. Currently, as a member of the UK national SAC in Otolaryngology he remains committed to ensuring the highest standards of training for junior ENT colleagues.

He is a recipient of UK national research awards and publishes regularly on aspects of both rhinology and skull base surgery. He has written chapters in a number of ENT textbooks and is Rhinology Section Co –Editor for the forthcoming edition of Scott Brown’s Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
