Anshul Sama, FRCS, is a consultant and Honorary Professor at Loughborough University, UK. Graduate from the University of Nottingham he served as a Lecturer in Anatomy at the University of Leeds and latterly as honorary lecturer in Anatomy at Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge. Having gained the fellowship of the Royal College in General Surgery, he specialised in Otorhinolaryngolgy in the North East Training rotation culminating in his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and a clinical fellowship in Rhinology at Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne, Australia. He was appointed as faculty and Consultant at University of Nottingham in 2000. He practices exclusively in the field of Rhinology with a special interest in Frontal Sinus Surgery, Endoscopic Skull base surgery and Sleep disordered breathing. He is an ex- council member of the British Rhinology Society and ENT UK, and the past secretary of the Rhinology section of Royal Society of Medicine. He the post of Assistant Director of the Trent Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre and in the past the post of Training Programme Director for East Midland. He has been the section editor in Rhinology for Current Opinions in Otorhinolaryngology since 2009, and ENT Masterclass since 2008. He is a Guest reviewer for British Journal of Neurosurgery, Hellinic Journal of Otorhinolaryngology, PMJ, Head and Neck Experimental Medicine, Core surgery and Training Journal of Surgery. He organises many annual teaching courses – Nottingham Advanced Frontal sinus surgery, Nottingham Facial Plastic Surgery, Copenhagen-Nottingham ENT Dissection course, Nottingham BEST course and contributes on the Winchester Advanced FESS course, Royal College of Edinburgh Advanced FESS course, Lariboisiere Advanced FESS course in Paris, East Anglia ESS course, Copenhagen Advanced FESS course and the Penn International Rhinology and Skull base surgery and Rhinoplasty course in 2013. He has published in the areas of Frontal sinus and Image Guidance in Endoscopic sinus surgery.
